2022 Meiziqing Plum Blossom Sanctuary at 23°N

2022 Meiziqing · Ancient Tree Spring Tea

Karst Rock Sweetness · Snow Mountain Core at 23°N · Century-Old Plum Coexistence

“Plum Blossom Sanctuary at 23°N”
Sourced from Meiziqing Village, Xiaomengtong Town, Yongde County, Lincang, Yunnan, nestled in the snow mountain ranges at 1800-2256m elevation. This karst terrain with sandy red soil, rich in zinc and selenium, delivers a natural mineral sweetness to the tea, under an annual average temperature of 17°C and 1400mm rainfall.

Top Micro-Lot Selection
The concave basin-shaped terrain ensures deep-root penetration into mineral rock seams, limiting survival only to ancient trees along slopes, yielding less than 100 mu annually, rivaling the quality of Bingdao Old Village.

Centuries-Old “Vine-Strip” Plucking
Inherited from Qing Dynasty practices, the “vine-stripping” method prunes and retains terminal shoots, focusing nutrients into tender leaves, boosting inner richness by 230% compared to lower leaves.

“Plum-Tea Coexistence, Fragrance into Rock”

During the late Qing and early Republic era, villagers returned from Myanmar tea trade with wild plum seedlings, planting them alongside tea trees. Over a century, tea and plum roots intertwined, with the tea leaves absorbing volatile plum aromatics, forming the signature “Green Plum Cool Fragrance”—the soul and origin of Meiziqing’s name.
