2020 Bangdong Ancient Tree Raw Pu-erh Tea
From the Cliffs of Lancang River – A Symphony of Floral, Honeyed, and Mineral Notes
Origin:
Sourced from Bangdong Township, Lincang, Yunnan, at elevations ranging from 1500 to 2200 meters. Nestled along the banks of the Lancang River, this region experiences seasonal sea clouds from October to March due to its unique microclimate. Ancient tea trees grow in rocky crevices, coexisting with the stone, giving birth to the tea’s distinctive “rock rhyme and floral aroma” (Yanyun Huaxiang).
Tasting Notes:
Dry Leaf: Tightly twisted dark green leaves with silvery buds, exuding a wild honey fragrance and cool mineral undertone
Liquor: Bright golden and clear, rich and full-bodied
Taste: Crisp and sweet with a fresh entry, pronounced orchid fragrance, lingering rocky-mineral depth, and long-lasting returning sweetness (Huigan)
Leaf Base: Plump, elastic, and full of vitality
What Makes It Unique:
Tea grown from stone crevices – this ancient tree raw Pu-erh masterfully combines the purity of high-elevation terroir with the richness of rocky soil. A layered experience of floral elegance, honeyed sweetness, and enduring rock charm in every cup.
