Product Description:
Origin:
Sourced from the ancient tea region of Baotang, located in Menghai County and inhabited by the Lahu ethnic group. Grown at elevations above 1,800 meters, the tea trees are nourished year-round by mists from the surrounding primeval forests. The mineral-rich soil imparts a distinct “wild honey aroma” to the tea.
Tea Profile:
Dry Leaves: Thick, wiry strands with silvery tips, bluish-brown in color with an oily sheen. Exudes a sweet and mellow aroma of wild honey blended with pinewood.
Liquor Color: Golden and glossy, the tea soup is thick and smooth like honey.
Taste: Opens with a burst of wild orchid fragrance, followed by pine-needle woodiness. The finish balances honeyed sweetness with a subtle bitterness, leaving a long-lasting, cooling sensation in the throat.
Leaf Base: Plump, leathery, and elastic with a glossy surface.
Cultural Totem:
Among the Lahu people, tea trees are revered as the “walking sticks of ancestors.” Baotang tea’s unique pine-sweet notes are believed to carry the memory of ancient cohabitation with the forest. The wild honey tone flowing through the tea liquor mirrors the Lahu tradition of harvesting and fermenting wild honey.
